About “US IP” Plans
Plans marked (US IP) route your data traffic through an exit point in the United States. Plans without this label may route traffic through other countries such as Belgium, the United Kingdom, or Norway.
Both types work equally well inside the United States, using the same networks (Verizon and AT&T) at the same speeds. The only difference is which country your connection appears to originate from.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose (US IP) if you plan to use US-only streaming services, US bank or brokerage accounts, or other websites restricted to the United States. Your connection will be recognised as coming from the US, so geo-restricted services will work.
- The standard plan is enough if you only need web browsing, maps, social media and messaging apps. It is also the more affordable option.
If you do not expect to use US-only services during your trip, the plan without (US IP) will serve you well.
