How-to Guide

We explain everything clearly, from setting up your eSIM to how to use it.

01

Buy a plan

From the shop page, choose the plan you want and complete payment. After purchase, we’ll email you the eSIM profile details (setup link, QR code, activation code, etc.).

  • Choose a plan that matches your destination region and data needs from the shop page (prices shown in USD).
  • Pay with PayPal, credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay (all processed via PayPal; a PayPal transaction fee will be added to the final billed amount).
  • After your purchase is complete, we’ll send you the eSIM profile (setup link, QR code, activation code, etc.).
02

Install the eSIM

Install the eSIM using the Quick Install link or by scanning the QR code.

  • Option 1: Quick Install link (recommended; iOS 17.4+ and Android 10+ only)
Just tap the Quick Install link shown at the setup link in the email to install automatically.
  • Option 2: Install with a QR code
Scan the QR code shown at the setup link in the email with your device camera to install.
  • Confirm the eSIM installation
03

Activate on site

Once you arrive at your destination, turn on the eSIM and start using it.

  • Settings > Mobile Data, then select the eSIM

Only if you’re using a Japan plan or an Asia roaming plan on an iPhone within Japan, you need to manually set the APN to “vmobile.jp”.
*On Android, you may need to enter it manually in some cases, but it’s usually not necessary.

If you can’t connect to the internet after arriving in Japan, follow these steps:

    • Open the iPhone Settings app.
    • Tap “Mobile Data”.
    • Tap the activated eSIM, then tap “Mobile Data Network”.
    • Under “Mobile Data” and “Personal Hotspot”, delete what’s currently in the “APN” field and enter vmobile.jp. Once you’re done, proceed to the next step.
  • Turn on Data Roaming (❗very important❗)
  • Connect to the network automatically

What is a Quick Install link?

A Quick Install link is a convenient feature that lets you install an eSIM by simply tapping a link—no need to scan a QR code. It’s available on iOS 17.4+ and Android 10+. It makes eSIM setup even easier.

Which should I use: the Quick Install link or the QR code?

If you’re using iOS (iPhone) on iOS 17.4+ or Android 10+, we recommend the Quick Install link. Since the eSIM installs automatically just by tapping the link, it’s easier and more reliable—and you won’t need to scan a QR code.

Can I use tethering?

Yes, tethering is available on all plans. You can share your internet connection with multiple devices.

Can I use 5G?

Yes, 5G is available in supported areas. Your smartphone must support 5G.

What is FUP (Fair Usage Policy)?

FUP is the daily cap on high-speed data. If you exceed the cap, your speed will be limited, but you can still use the internet.

What speeds can I expect after throttling?

After throttling, the maximum speed is 128 kbps. You can still send and receive emails and messages, but things like video streaming will be difficult.

Can I use it in multiple countries?

The Global plan and regional roaming plans can be used in multiple countries. The network switches automatically when you cross borders.

Do I get a phone number?

No. This is a data-only eSIM. If you need voice calling, please use apps like LINE or WhatsApp.
