eSIM Compatibility

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. It eliminates the need to insert a physical SIM card, allowing you to easily add or switch mobile plans online.

How to Check eSIM Compatibility

• Dial *#06#. If an EID appears on the screen, your device supports eSIM. If there is no EID (only an IMEI), it doesn’t support eSIM.

• (iPhone/iPad only) Go to Settings → General → About. If you see an “EID” field, your device supports eSIM.

Important Notes

• Your device must be carrier-unlocked.

• Some models may not support eSIM depending on the region where they were sold. Even if your model is on the list, be sure to check in advance using the eSIM compatibility methods above.

• iPhone models from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau (excluding iPhone 17e, iPhone Air, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone XS) do not support eSIM.

• For more details on iPhone/iPad eSIM compatibility, please refer to the official Apple eSIM support page.

• Google Pixel series devices sold in Hong Kong do not support eSIM.
